Day 3 x bar

DAY 3 - PORTAGE TO HOMER

Continuing along to Kenai along the Kenai and Russian River.

Several hour delay along the way. Our money being spent to improve the road.

The time spent just viewing the beautiful mountains and forests.

The school where Jimmy G taught. The red truck was his. Jim's parking place was where the dumpster is located and has been there since he left the area.

The Soldotna Reds were at practice behind the school.

All the schools are windowless because of the long and cold winter.

MORE OF DAY 3

Motored to the city of Kenai and its harbor. This boat and crew gave us plenty of entertainment while we ate lunch. Not sure they knew what they were doing. WD40 was in short supply.

The tide was out at the Kenai Harbor

We completed the triangle and returned to Soldotna and the Kenai River where I caught Bev getting some local fishing secrets. The silvers were between their runs so not much action.

In an old Russian fishing village of Ninilchik we uncovered one of Jim's scows. It looks like the tide caught him with his pants down

Walking thru Ninilchik revealed lots of bad fishing days for the Russian fishermen
